I can hardly believe I’ve been part of the St. Peter’s Preschool family for 23 years! What started as a Teacher’s Aide position - quickly became so much more—a place I love, a community I treasure, and a calling I feel incredibly blessed to have.

I’m the proud mom of three grown children, and there’s an especially special connection to St. Peter’s in our family: my youngest is a St. Peter’s Preschool alum! Today, I’m also a very proud grandmother of two, so I’ve officially experienced preschool life from several different perspectives!

Hi all! My name is Bekah, and St. Peter’s has been home to me for over 20 years now. I became affiliated with St. Peter’s in my junior high years when my Mom was the Office Manager for the church. I’d spend summers hanging out in the youth room and walking to the beach. Right out of high school and needing a summer job before starting undergrad, I started working here as a Teacher’s Aide quite confident it would only be for a summer. I ended up loving it so much that I continued here through the bulk of my undergrad years, and then started teaching in a classroom in 2008.

Hello St. Peter’s! My name is Josey. 

I’ve been working with St Peter’s Preschool for 6 years, first starting as an aid and now a teacher for Pre-k students. I’ve achieved my associates degree in Behavioral Sciences at Grossmont College and strive to continue my education in child development.

My favorite things to do with the students include process/sensory art and science experiments. Some of my favorite things include nature walk/hikes, singing, playing guitar, line dancing, and horse back riding.

I am looking forward to having a fun and adventurous year!

Hello! My name is Alanna and I am the Otter teacher.  

I previously worked at St. Peters for 2 years as the Sea Star teacher, and left about 4 and half years ago. I returned as an aide in April of 2021 and after a couple months took over the Flying Fish class. In the fall of 2021 I became the Otter teacher!  I love the kids, staff and the environment here so much. We truly have an amazing team! 

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I’m a substitute here at St. Peter’s! :)

I am born and raised in San Diego and I love going to the beach whenever I can. I have been working with children for 6 years and have a passion for early education. I am earning my associates in child development this semester and plan on continuing my education to earn a teaching degree. My dream is to someday teach kindergarten! I was a preschool teacher for 8 months and have worked in after school care, summer camps, and nannying. 

Hi! My name is Sierra and I am a proud St. Peter's Alumni!  I am a current student at San Diego State university majoring in Child and Family Development. My end goal is to become a pediatric nurse! In my free time I enjoy going to the beach and pilates. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends! 

Hello everyone! My name is Leslie and I am one of the Teacher’s Aides here at St. Peter’s Preschool.

I have been with St. Peter’s for a little over a year and have loved every moment of it!

I hold my B.A. in Child & Adolescent Development from Point Loma Nazarene University (2013 grad) with a minor in Music Education. I’ve worked in preschool, after school care and as a piano teacher for many years.

Both of my children are St. Peter’s alumni and I can’t imagine a better place for them to have gone to preschool.
